Biography: I grew up in Beacon, New York and spent my undergraduate
career at SUNY Albany where I got a BS in Physics and a BS in
Mathematics and Statistics.
I am currently a 3rd year grad student
under the tutelage of Dr. Steve Koch in the department of Physics and
Astronomy (P&A). Outside of science I enjoy participating
in various
sports such as soccer and basketball, and will follow my beloved NY
sports teams to the ends of the earth.
Research: In the KochLab, I am primarily focused on Shotgun
Chromatin Mapping using Optical Tweezers. I am also interested in
RNA Polymerase II transcription
and specifically various force
measurements during different stages of the Pol II molecule's
enzymatic process. On the side I enjoy graphic designing for the
KochLab.
