Brief Self Biography - I was born and raised in San Antonio, Texas. Received my B.S. in Mechanical Engineering at California State University, Chico in 2005 with a minor in Manufacturing. Received my M.S. with Distinction at UNM Fall 2008 with an emphasis in Orthopaedic Biomechanics. I enjoy snowboarding, climbing, reading a good book, sitting under a tree and spending the day people watching from a coffee shop window.

Research Interests Description - Orthopaedic Biomechanics is what most interests me. Experimental testing and finite element modeling of fractured long bones implanted with various fixation devices is one of my most recent projects. My PhD work will include a nanocharacterization of osteoporotic bones and design of new orthopaedic trauma implants using nanomaterials.
