Brief Self Biography - I lived in Mexico for a very long time. One day my parents realized that they couldn’t afford to send their four daughters to school there, so we moved to El Paso, Texas. I then attended New Mexico State University and obtained a B.S. in Chemical Engineering and a minor in Environmental Management. After participating in many undergraduate research programs and a one-year internship at industry, I decided that I wanted to attend graduate school. I am currently pursuing a PhD in Chemical Engineering with an emphasis in Nanoscience and Microsystems. Given that I am not that far away from the snow, I plan on making these upcoming years enjoyable through lots of snowboarding trips, my favorite hobby.
Research Interests Description - My research interest, as of right now, is to contribute in some manner to the energy crisis, that we are currently facing, by learning more about the potential alternatives: wind, biofuels and organic solar cells among others.
