Brief Self Biography – I grew up in Albuquerque, NM. I did high school speech & debate and I was an elite gymnast through college. My hobbies include orchid cultivation, stained-glass, high-power electronics, and animation design.
Research Interests - My thesis research is focused on using optical tweezers and molecular dynamics simulations to study interaction between lipid bilayers and live cells. I have some experience in plasma systems, crystallography, and bio-chemistry. I am generally interested in nano/micro-systems, bio-interfaces and medical applications.
