OEO provides training for UNM Faculty and Staff through UNM's Employee and Organizational Development (EOD). To register for online or instructor-led workshops, please go to Learning Central.

Preventing Sexual Harassment in Your Workplace (Workshop)

The commitment of the University of New Mexico is to: 1. Have a sexual harassment free working environment 2. PREVENT inappropriate conduct before it gets to sexual harassment .In this two-hour workshop, a representative from the Office of Equal Opportunity will discuss how you can prevent sexual harassment from happening in your workplace. We will also discuss how to recognize and respond to sexual harassment by reviewing UNM Policies #3780 and #2200.

Preventing Sexual Harassment - 2010 (Online Training)

This online course will provide education to all the university community about a number of issues related to preventing sexual harassment in the workplace. Through a series of scenario presentations and activities, you will learn important principles that you can apply to your everyday work and learning activities.

Civil Rights at Work at UNM (Workshop)

The Civil Rights at Work at UNM course will provide staff with information regarding their rights and responsibilities as they relate to University civil rights policies, as well as providing managers and/or supervisors with information regarding their responsibilities in addressing civil rights issues in the workplace. There will be ample time for questions, discussion and an enlightening case simulation. This workplace-centered course was developed in response to the State of New Mexico's requirement that all managers and supervisors employed by public institutions receive training in civil rights. After completing this course, you will be better equipped to comply with the civil rights laws and UNM policies, act to protect the civil rights of employees, and prevent civil rights violations in the workplace. You will also learn about the resources available at UNM to help employees raise civil rights issues and managers/ supervisors address any civil rights issues that may arise.

UNMJobs for Department Originator Training Faculty (Workshop)

This course is geared for Faculty hiring officials. This 3-hour instructor-led course is designed to assist hiring officials with the navigational and process work flows of becoming more efficient in hiring and position management using UNMJobs.

Americans with Disabilities Act: An Overview (Workshop)

The goal of this two-hour workshop is to help you gain a basic understanding of The American with Disabilities Act (1990) as it pertains to UNM policy. In this workshop you will learn about applicable laws and relevant University policies and your rights and responsibilites. We will also review specific case studies and end with a complete overview.
