POSITION: Assistant Professor, History of Photography. Full time. Probationary appointment leading to a tenure decision. Service and committee work expected. SALARY: $44,000. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: PhD by time of appointment. Specialist in the History of Photography. Evidence of scholarship. Ability to teach the history of photography from the 19th century to present. Demonstrated familiarity with and application of critical theory, also must have the ability to teach introductory surveys of general Art History. Demonstrated ability to teach aesthetics and theory. Knowledge of new media and contemporary issues. PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS: Experience teaching beyond the T.A. level. Publication record. Knowledge of computing and applications to teaching.
