The Office of Institutional Research (OIR), reporting to the Provost but serving the entire University, acts as a clearinghouse for data about UNM. Many requests for information about UNM, both external (e.g., the legislature, the public, outside agencies) and internal (e.g., the Executive Cabinet, student services offices, budget and finance) are handled by OIR. We either have the data or know who does. In addition to providing data, we often engage in special studies, surveys and analyses to support University evaluation and promote understanding of the issues.
