OLIT Master's Degree
The Organizational Learning and Instructional Technology (OLIT) Program offers a Master's Degree that gives students the flexibility to take courses in Organizational Learning and Training, Multimedia Technologies, and Distance Education. Students can focus on one particular area or mix and match courses from all areas to create a personalized program of studies. All OLIT students can expect to develop a diverse skill set that will help them hit the ground running when they enter the workforce because all OLIT courses require students to apply their learning in real world contexts. OLIT graduates work in a diverse number of settings from nonprofit organizations to Fortune 500 Companies. Not only do OLIT graduates have the flexibility to choose where they work, they also enjoy diverse employment options which include Project Management, Instructional Design, Organizational Development, Training and Development, Distance Education, and much more.
The OLIT faculty revised the Master’s Program to
better reflect an integration of the emphasis areas of organizational learning and instructional technology. We are advising
students to follow the new revision to the Master’s
Program as described in the advisement sheets below as we feel that a better repertoire of skills will be developed to enter the workforce. Students who
prefer to follow the Master’s Program requirements in
the catalog copy, can do so, but we feel that students will benefit from the revised core courses. Students can take the Master’s either entirely online, or in a
hybrid format with a combination of face-to-face, online, and ITV courses. Non-resident and international online students can pay resident tuition fees if they enroll
in no more than 6 credit hours a semester. Click on the links below for more information.
