OLIT Professional Development Certificates

The OLIT Professional Development Certificate Program was established to offer an opportunity for working professionals to upgrade their skills and knowledge. This certificate may lead to a job promotion, additional job qualifications, or new job opportunities. The Certificate Program is a 12 credit hour non-degree, graduate level activity and therefore, does not require admission into the OLIT graduate program. It does, however, require the student to have a Bachelor's Degree from an accredited college or university. The student should successfully complete twelve (12) credit hours of approved OLIT graduate level courses as a non-degree student within three years' time and obtain a grade of "B" or better in all courses to obtain a Certificate.

This is a certificate program, not a degree program, and the completion of this program does not automatically imply admission to an OLIT degree. If admitted to an OLIT graduate program, the 12 non-degree credit hours of the Certificate can be transferred to the graduate program with advisor approval. The courses included in the Certificate program must represent a clear emphasis.

Professional Development Certificate Application Procedures along with Programs and the faculty advisor for each program, are listed below.
