The Robert Wood Johnson Foundation (RWJF) Center for Health Policy at the University of New Mexico annually awards three new dissertation fellowships of $12,000 with full tuition remission and student health insurance. Nominees for the fellowship must demonstrate an interest in health services research or policy analysis that aligns with the mission of the Center. Deadline has passed for 2010. The New Mexico Fellows Program is a prestigious summer internship program designed to introduce advanced college and graduate students to public service and state government. Fellows are placed in state agencies, where they perform specialized projects. Fellowships are open to students from a wide variety of backgrounds and academic majors. Applicants must have attended high school and/or college in New Mexico. Juniors, Seniors, Recent Graduates and Graduate Students are encouraged to apply. The fellowships are paid and last ten weeks during the summer. Most fellowships are located in Santa Fe.The application packet for the 2010 Fellow’s Program will be up soon. The Udall Foundation is currently accepting applications for the 2010 Environmental Public Policy & Conflict Resolution Dissertation Fellowship. Please help us spread the word by sharing this information with qualified Ph.D. students. They award two one-year fellowships of up to $24,000 to doctoral candidates. The application deadline is February 24, 2010.

The American Educational Research Association (AERA) and the American Institutes for Research (AIR), announce the AERA-AIR (A²) Fellows Program. This program aims to build the talent pool of highly skilled education researchers experienced in working on large-scale studies in major research environments. The A² Fellows program is designed to support early career scholars by providing intensive research and training opportunities to recent doctoral recipients in fields and disciplines related to the scientific study of education and education processes. Tentative deadline is set for December 2010.
The American Educational Research Association (AERA) and Educational Testing Service (ETS) announce the AERA-ETS Fellowship Program in Measurement. This fellowship is designed to provide learning opportunities and practical experience to recent doctoral degree recipients and to early career research scientists in areas such as educational measurement, assessment design, psychometrics, statistical analyses, large-scale evaluations, and other studies directed toward explaining student progress and achievement. Up to two fellows will be selected for this rotational research position at ETS's facilities in Princeton, NJ. Fellows will be assigned to various large-scale assessment programs and engage in operations that are in line with their interests and ETS's research needs. In 1991, the Council of the American Educational Research Association (AERA) established the AERA Minority Dissertation Fellowship in Education Research to provide support for doctoral dissertation research. The purposes of the program are to advance education research by outstanding minority graduate students and to improve the quality and diversity of university faculties. This program offers doctoral fellowships to enhance the competitiveness of outstanding minority scholars for academic appointments at major research universities. It supports fellows conducting education research and provides mentoring and guidance toward the completion of their doctoral studies. Tentative deadline is set for December 2010.
