My teaching concentrates on transformational learning, adult learning theory, organization development, and consulting theory and practice.
My scholarly interests are in transformational mentoring, leadership development, and developing motivating work environments. I have written one book with Michael Kroth, Ph.D., entitled, Transforming Work: The Five Keys to Achieving Trust, Commitment, and Passion in the Workplace. I've written numerous articles on a range of topics and have presented both nationally and internationally. I am truly interested in individual and organizational change, and specialize in processes that cultivate passionate workplaces where employees love their work.
I keep busy as Chair of the Educational Leadership and Organizational Learning department, teaching/mentoring graduate students, giving presentations on passionate work, taking and teaching ballet classes, volunteering in the community, and spending time with my husband and beautiful children. I received my doctorate from the University of Texas at Austin, taught in the Psychology Department of Central Washington University where I co-directed a masters program in Organization Development, and have completed post-doctoral work at the University of British Columbia and Harvard University.
