Daniel

Daniel Weems works in UNM Accessibility Services providing alternative text accommodations (converting print material to electronic format or Braille) for students with qualified print disabilities.  He realized that his real desire to help people stemmed from working for the New Mexico Commission for the Blind where he was required to wear sleep shades from 8am to 5pm every day for eight weeks—basically he learned to function without sight.  He looks forward to participating in the Fellowship Program and views it as an opportunity to work closely with similar minded individuals who care as much about student success as he does.
