Felisha A. Herrera works as an Administrative Coordinator for the Division for Equity and Inclusion and she will graduate in May 2009 with a Master’s in Educational Leadership.  As a first-generation college student she went through various obstacles attempting to obtain her Bachelor’s Degree and was subsequently motivated to pursue a career in higher education in hopes of preventing others from going through the same obstacles.  She envisions her role in the Fellowship Program as a significant way to strengthen the collaborative efforts between the Division for Student Affairs and the Division for Equity and Inclusion.   Additionally, she feels she can bring a distinct perspective to the group based on the personal experiences she’s had.
