George

George Williams, Jr. received his Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees in Special Education which he feels is a good fit for him because of his personal family connection with disability and his compassion for educating children and parents with similar circumstances.  His role as a Program Specialist with Accessibility Services allows him to make a difference for students diagnosed with Learning Disabilities and Traumatic Brain Injuries by coordinating students’ needs with services and resources available within UNM while ensuring the students’ individual needs are met.  By participating in the fellowship program he hopes to fulfill three goals:  1. awareness of self; 2. creation of relationships with colleagues; 3. gain an extensive knowledge of educational theory and research as it relates to students in the postsecondary school setting.
