Public transportation accessible.
Provides the Albuquerque Native American
Community with a variety of programs and services to include counseling, traditional
Native American healing and spiritual development, employment and training
services, computer instruction, referrals for emergency assistance and homeless
care referrals. The Albuquerque Indian Center provides programs which support
sobriety and wellness of Native Americans in the city.

SERVICE SUMMARY: Provides the Albuquerque
Native American Community with a variety of programs and services as listed
below:
*Sobriety and Wellness Support -12 step meetings
{Prevention Activities, Pow-wows)
*Traditional Native Counseling and cultural
Activities (sweat lodge ceremonies for men and women)
*Professional Counseling -Substance Abuse
Counseling, Domestic Violence Counseling, Family Counseling, Intensive Out-Patient
Treatment.
*Employment/Training Services -Basic
Skills and Job Skills Instruction, Computer Training, Resume Preparation,
Interface with employment program and employees.
*Homeless Care Referrals -refers for
short term emergency food, clothing, shelter and transportation.
*Home Locator Assistance/Referrals
*Mail, Fax, Phone Message Services -provides
clients with a mailing address and telephone number. Provides a telephone
and a fax for client use.
~-Advocacy regarding issues facing Native
Americans in the city of Albuquerque. (Issues include education, urban Indian
health, Job Fairs, etc.)
~-There is always a need for volunteer who
wish to donate services.
