Although this committee provides various activities each year to promote opportunities for staff development and recognition, a few major events have become regular happenings! These events are included on this page.

Staff Academic Support Scholarship

The Provost Committee for Staff (PCS) in partnership with the Human Resources department has created a new scholarship designed to help support staff that utilize their tuition remission benefit. UNM employees now have an opportunity to apply for a financial support scholarship to help cover the costs of academic books, course fee(s) and other related course supplies. This award will be given on a semester basis.

Outstanding Staff & Group Awards

Each spring, this committee calls for nominations to recognize Outstanding Staff at UNM. Three individuals and one workgroup are selected for the awards. The Provost recognizes the awardees at a ceremony held in their honor.

Volunteer Fair

This fun and informative event is held every other year in the Fall semester. The Volunteer Fair provides UNM staff with the opportunity to become involved in serving the community, as volunteers, with one or more of the many organizations participating in the fair.
