Outstanding Staff & Workgroup Award Recipients for 2009

The Provost's Committee for Staff is proud to announce the recipients of this year's awards. The Outstanding Staff Award nominations review resulted in clearly four (instead of three) very deserving recipients in this category. They are (in alphabetical order): Elsa Castillo from Engineering Student Services, John DeMoss from Physics and Astronomy, Eugene Rooney from Anderson School of Management and Miguel Valtierra from the Lockshop.

There were a surprising number of nominations for the workgroup recognition this year; however, one group came out on top. From the Department of Spanish and Portuguese, Rosario Johnson, Martha Hurd, Kate Merrill and Vanessa Vander Galien serve as the office staff and have proven to be worthy of special recognition.

All recipients will be honored at a ceremony on April 29, 2009 at 3:30 at the UNM SUB. Congratulations go out to the recipients and ALL our nominees. Great Job!
