LIBROS
is the online catalog of the UNM General Library. It provides access to books and journals owned by the UNM Libraries and New Mexico member institutions. Parts of the library's collection must still be accessed using the traditional card catalog. For materials not located in LIBROS contact InterLibrary Loan.

SPECIALIZED DATABASES:

Remote access is available to UNM students, staff, and faculty.
Dissertation Abstracts UNM only
indexes dissertations and theses for all subject areas
Education Abstracts UNM only
indexes and abstracts articles in over 550 leading periodicals in the field of education. Covers primarily English langauge periodicals.
ERIC  UNM only
provides annotated references to both journal articles and non-journal materials including the topics of reading and communication.
Library Literature  UNM only
contains citations to over 360 sources covering journal articles, books, conference proceedings and more in both English and non-English languages. Coverage is from 1980 to the present
MLA Bibliography  UNM only
provides extensive coverage of journals on literature, languages, linguistics, and folklore.
GENERAL DATABASES:
Remote access is available to UNM students, staff, and faculty for EBSCO, Firstsearch and ProQuest.

FirstSearch
a collection of over sixty databases indexing articles, theses, disserations, books, in the arts, education, humanities, social sciences, science, and technology.
EBSCOHost-Academic Search FULLTEXT Elite
abstracts and indexes over 3,500 journals and features full text articles for over 1,200 journals since1990.
Lexis-Nexis Academic Universe
provides full text sources in categories of News, Business, Legal, Medical and Reference.
Project Muse
contains full text index to selected humanities and social science journals.
ProQuest
indexes over 2,200 multi-disciplinary sources, of which 1,400 are full text. Funded by the New Mexico State Library.
UnCover
indexes approximately 17,000 multidisciplinary magazines and journals published since the fall of 1988.

C A L L    N U M B E R S 

Library of Congress Call Numbers for children's literatures encompasses various call number areas depending on the subject matter of the book. The following is a sampling of the more specific call numbers related to children's literature. Books for children on history (D's) or science (Q's) are assigned non-literature call numbers and integrated with other materials in those areas. Use LIBROS to locate specific items.
