The D. H. Lawrence Ranch is an UNM-owned facility. Cabins at the Ranch may be rented only for recreational and personal purposes by the University of New Mexico faculty, staff, alumni, teaching and graduate assistants, graduate students, retirees, D. H. Lawrence Fellows, visiting professors, and guests of UNM. Reservations for cabins are taken on a first-come basis and are subject to cancellation in the event of extreme fire hazard, water shortage, unduly severe weather, or other emergencies. Reservations can be made by phone at 277-2421. However; cabin fees, payable by cash or check (no credit cards), completion of the D. H. Lawrence reservation form, and presentation of a valid I.D. must be completed within 48-hours (two business days). The rental office will automatically cancel a reservation if fees are not paid by the two business days prior to the first day of occupancy. The rental office is located in the Service Building (#204) at 1818 Camino del Servicio. Rental hours are from 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., Monday through Friday. Cancellations must be made 48-hours (two business days) prior to the first day of the reservation. Refunds must be requested in person, or in writing.

Renters are required to present a picture I.D. and a Lobo Card at the time the reservation is made. Graduates of UNM will be verified through the Alumni Office. Graduate students are asked to present a student I.D. Eligibility is verified with the Graduate School.
