The D. H. Lawrence Ranch is an UNM-owned facility. Cabins at the Ranch may be rented by UNM faculty, staff, teaching and graduate assistants, graduate students, alumni, retirees, D. H. Lawrence Fellows, UNM visiting professors, and guests of the University of New Mexico. Reservations for cabins are taken on a first-come basis and are subject to cancellation in the event of extreme fire hazard, shortage of water, unduly severe weather, or other emergencies. Reservations can be made by phone at 277-2421 or 277-2425, but they must be confirmed in person within five days. Payment must be received no less than 48 hours prior to the first day of the reservation, payable by check or cash (no credit cards). The rental office is located in the Service Building (#204) at 1818 Camino del Servicio. Rental hours are from 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., Monday through Friday. Cancellations must be made 48 hours (two working days) prior to the first day of the reservation.

Renters are required to present a picture ID and a Lobo Card at the time the reservation is made. Graduates of UNM will be verified through the Alumni Office. Graduate students are asked to present a student ID. Eligibility is verified with the Graduate School.
