Members Information

Anyone can join, even if you are just interested in medicine, and want to learn more about the medical field. We encourage everyone to be involved, and also expect you to gain vast amounts of information from our organization. We also hope the premedical organization helps you learn the information in which you seek.

Membership Requirements

$15 membership fee per year.

Attend as many meetings and volunteer events as possible. This is to your benefit, so it should not be a difficult requirement

Members of the Pre Med Club enjoy a multitude of benefits, including:

• Meet many students with similar goals and make new friends
• Pre-Med Advisement
• Course planning
• Get advice from students who have experience applying to Medical school or have taken pre-med courses.
• Attend guest presentations promoting contact between UNM students and the Albuquerque Medical community.
• Access to materials (collection of school catalogs, MCAT books, etc.) in the Pre-med Club Office
• Informative meetings
• Meet Medical students and personnel
• Many opportunities to participate in club & leadership roles to add to your application
• Guest Speakers collaborating in Admissions into Medical School, Nursing School, and the School of Pharmacy
• Volunteering in the Emergency Room at Local Hospitals
• Various community service volunteer opportunities
• Physician talks
