Topic : Importing and Managing Data

For this assignment, I had to download the
huc13, strm13 and 13res data from cegis account, use the conversion tool to
import from Interchange File, and add data to a new empty map. I played with
the symbology. |

I used the Query Builder to highlight the
headwaters of the Rio Pecos and created a shapefile. I added HUC 13060002 to
include the watershade above Ft. Sumner Lake. |

|
I had difficulty adding the stream gage
data from USGS website. It was nice of Austin to help me figure out the
coordinate system of the imported data and declare it while displaying the XY
Data. I used the Data Management Tools to project from NAD 83 geographic
coordinates to an Albers projection. |
