Faculty members and instructors associated with the Religious Studies Program at the University of New Mexico are available to give presentations on their areas of expertise to local congregations, community organizations, and other educational institutions. Rather than promoting religion or any particular religious viewpoint, the presentations are primarily informative in nature and frequently interactive in design. While the UNM Religious Studies Program is not responsible for the content of the presentations, we do endorse the speakers as well-qualified in the field of religious studies.
Those interested in arranging a presentation should contact the speaker directly to discuss topics and logistics. In order to defray the costs of travel, time, and materials, an honorarium of $100 is suggested, paid directly to the presenter at the time of the presentation. However, many speakers will gladly present to organizations not able to afford this amount or who regularly send guest lecturers to UNM classes. |
