Department of Internal Medicine
The Office
of Research was created to assist faculty and staff investigators with research
at The University of New Mexico Health Sciences Center. The Vice-Chair for
Research, David S. Schade, M.D., directs the Office of Research with staff
support by John Lucas, Contract and Grant Administrator, and Carolyn King,
Administrative Assistant. The Office of Research is located on the fifth floor
of the Ambulatory Care Center in the Department of Internal Medicine in the
University Hospital.
The Office of Research provides a variety services to faculty and staff investigators to support research in the Department of Internal Medicine. The office also provides administrative support to the department, the General Clinical Research Center, and the House Officers Research Committee especially in areas related to research.
