In the year one thousand eight hundred ninteen, on Tuesday the 2nd of November in the morning at 4 o'clock there was born in the Evangelical Community of Voelzberg and on Sunday the 7th of the same month there was baptized: Johann Heinrich Groth, the son (the German means daughter - undoubtedly an error) of Johann George Groth in Voelzberg and of his wife Eva Elisabetha, born Spahn from Eichenmoth (the mother's maiden name was Spahn and lived in Eichenmoth)

Godfather: Johann Heinrich, the legitimate son of Nicolaus Schultheiss at Voelzberg.
