ON THE ROAD TO BEING A PROFESSOR EMERITUS
MINI VITA OF little know facts about me.
These are not in chronological order.
- Worked as an Ice man on an Ice route.
- Worked as a Paperboy.

Worked in the wheat fields.
- Worked as an Iron Worker in an Iron Foundry in
Sydney Australia. Went on strike in the Iron Workers Union.
- Worked on a Norwegian Tanker for over a year-- which didn't
spill oil.

- Was a weatherman in the Navy.
- Was a janitor in a hospital.
- Taught in a hospital on the wards.
- Drank a Singapore Sling in the Raffles Hotel in Singapore.
- Got married and have 4 children, all who use the internet
- Majored in European Literature and Thought as an Undergrad at Iowa
- Was a tennis pro at a country club for 5-6 summers.
- Was in two typhoons--one of which 30 ships were sunk.
- Played soccer in Pakistan.
- Was steering a ship which caught on fire in India.
- Drove a station wagon to Costa Rico--and on the return with
two
of my kids,...... drove through a war between Honduras and Salvador.
- Wrote guest columns on tennis for the Cedar Rapids Gazette.
- Rode in a hot air balloon.
- Had an interview radio show for a year at KUNM.
- Went to high school with former Governor David Cargo.
- Spoke in more than half of the states.
- Wrote the lyrics to a couple of songs.
- Have been in Iran, Iraq, Saudi Arabia, and South Africa.
- Had a heart attack in the PIT and had 5 bypasses.
- Played in the NCAA tennis tournament.
- Had articles rejected by Ellery Queen Mystery Magazine, Open Road
for Boys, and Playboy magazines.
- Taught American and World History in Wheaton, H.S. Wheaton, Ill.
- Was a counselor in a Meade Jr. Hi school in Wichita, Ks.
- Was Dir. of Guidance and Testing in Wichita Publ
ic School System.
- Was inducted into the Council of Exceptional Children Hall of Fame in New Mexico in 1998.
