Ralph Eugene Bottom, Grandson of Eva Kroth Bottom. With 69th National
Guard. Stationed at Ft. Bliss, Texas and Ft. Sill, Oklahoma. Was
activated April 1968. Served in Viet Nam in 1969.
Charles E. Clements, son of Esther Kroth Clements. Corporal in US Army
in AAA, 1951-1952. Stationed most of the time at Ft. Sheridan,
Illinois and Belmont Harbor in Chicago.
Francis Chapas, son-in-law of Goldie Bottom Krebs. T/SGT served as
electrical technician in Air Force for 8 years; October 1962-
October 1970.
Don Allan Cox, grandson of Henry Clare Clements, Sgt. served with US
Army, March 25, 1969--December 28, 1972. Served in Germany with
Armor 333 Hdq. Stationed in Viet Nam with 173rd Air Bourne and 201
Signal Batallion.
Barry Lynn Flipse, grandson of Albert Thomas Kroth, Army PFC. Took basic
training at Ft. Knox, Kentucky and Ft. Polk, Louisiana. Served in
Viet Nam with lst Cavalry Division.
H. Curtis Gressman, son-in-law of Eunice Louthian Koch. US Army, PFC.
September 1957--October 1959. Stationed At Ft. Leonard Wood.,
Missouri. Ft. Gordon, Georgia, Sandia Base, Alburquerque, New Mexico,
and Killeen Base, Killeen, Texas. Served as Security Guard in
Military Police.
Harold J. Holtz, son-in-law of Eunice Louthian Koch. National Guard
February 1964--1970. US Army B5. Stationed at Ft. Leonard Wood, Mo.,
and Aberdeen Proving Grounds, Maryland. Was with Marysville, Kansas
250th Ord. Group for 1 1/2 years. Transferred to 65th Brigade, 134th Inf
134th Inf., 2nd Platoon, Co. C Hastings, Nebraska.
Kenneth L. Johnson, son of Grace Vonneberg Johnson and Andrew Johnson,
Spc. 5th Class Battery B.154th F.A. Batallion. Trained in Ft. Riley,
with 35th Infantry Division National Guard, end stationed in Aberdeen
Maryland.
James Courtney Kestie, grandson of Louie Tillman Loughmiller, SP. 5th
Class Army 3rd. Supply and Transportation. Stationed 18 months in
Wurtzburg, Germany. On his furloughs he visited France, Spain,
Italy, Austria, Switzerland, Holland, and Belgium. He came home with
over 600 slides and pictures.
Mark Leslie Knoft, son of Floye Manuel Knoft. With Navy Reserve 1968-
October 1971. Spent 2 years active duty on USS Cacapon, an oil
tanker. Had 2 overseas tours of duty on Phillipines, Viet Nam,
Hong Kong, Japan and Hawaii.
Frederick Alexander Kole. Son-in-law of Earl M. Kroth. IC3(E4) US
Navy. July 17, 1963-January 23, 1967. October 1964 to February 1965
trained at Interior Communication "A" School, San Diego, California.
Had active duty for 20 weeks. June 1965--October 1965 on USS Shields
DDS. October 1965 USS Bennington CVS 20th Aircraft Carrier for 2 week
weeks.
Alvin Lane Krebs, grandson of Eva Kroth Bottom. IC3. Spent 4 years in
US Navy, USS Bayfield. Transported service men from California to
Viet Nam. September 1964--1968.
Charles Richard Kroth (Dick). Son of Ralph Thomas Kroth. Served in Arm
Army, Spc. 5 th 1966-1968. Stationed Ft. Bragg, North Carolina.
Worked as an accountant. Had just graduated from Accountant College.
Richard Lee Kroth, son of Earl M. Kroth. Private U.S. Army. March
1969-April 1971. Basic training at Ft. Leonard Wood. Stationed with
586 Engineering Co. (FB) Ft. Benning, Georgia. Served in Viet Nam
September 1970-April 1971.
Thomas Ralph Kroth, son of Ralph Thomas Kroth, served in Naval Reserves
1955-1958.
John Lee Leonard, husband of grand-daughter of Nora Loughmiller Perry.
Served 10 years in Navy. Stationed in Georgia.
Jack Loughmiller, son of Robert Bruce Loughmillor and Marion Sturtz
Loughmiller. Career man in the Marines. Has served in Turkey, Japan,
Viet Nam, and is presently in Morocco.
James Michael Loughmiller, son of Robert Bruce Loughmiller and Ileen
Norton Loughmiller. A Navy Flier and Instructor. He was a flier of
one of the planes representing the Japanese in the movie "Tora, Tora,
Tora." Has had 3 tours of duty in Viet Nam.
Neil Tillman Loughmiller, grandson of Louie Tillman Loughmiller. Served
in Coast Guard.
Paul Eugene Louthian, son of Florence Venneberg Louthian. Served in
World War II with 693rd Field Artillery Batallion in Normandy. Rhine-
land, and Northern France. Enlisted in National Guard and called to
active duty in 1950, for Korean conflict. Medical rejection.
Robert Leo Louthian, son of Florence Venneberg Louthian, U.S. Army.
Trained at Aberdeen Proving Grounds. Maryland, and Camp Joseph T.
Robinson, Arkansas. Was waiting to be shipped overseas when his
hand was smashed by heavy equipment, and was given medical discharge.
James Lee McDaniel, grandson of Anna A. Loughmiller McDaniel. Air Force
stationed at Lowrey Air Force Base in 1973.
Kenneth J. Nicholas, Jr., son-in-law of Reva Kroth Bledsoe, Cpl. in
U.S. Marine Corp Reserves. Stationed in Denver, Colorado in Photo
Imagery Unit Headquarters, Section G-2, 4th Marine Div. March 28.
1969--March 27, 1975.
Charles Nicholas Oates, son of Lorraine Clements Oates and Charles L.
Oates. Trained with Thomas Jefferson High School ROTC, San Antonio,
Texas. He almost made Commandant Honors. He only lost because they
said his pants were too short. December 3, 1947-July 30, 1965.
Ronald Eugene Perry, grandson of Nora Loughmiller Perry. Troop 5th
Squadron 7th Cavalry, 8th Army. Served in Korea from January 20,
1967--September 10, 1968.
Garold L. Reynolds, husband of granddaughter of Eva Kroth Bottom.
Served in U.S. Air Force June 1, 1966-May 15, 1970. Served in Korea.
Leon Francis Ross, Grandson of Eva Kroth Bottom. Attatched to 185th
Reconnaissance Airplane Co. Took basic training at Ft. Polk,
Louisiana. Served in Viet Nam.
Ralph D. Runnebaum, son-in-law of Eunice Louthian Koch, National Guard.
Capt. in active duty March 12, 1964-present. Trained at Ft.
Leonard Wood, Mo. and Ft. Carson, Colo. Served in Viet Nam, and
discharged December 15, 1969. Now serving as Assistant Brigade
Maintenance Officer, Kansas National Guard.
Darrell Trippit, husband of grand-daughter of Nora Loughmiller Perry.
Sgt. in U.S. Army Air Force. Joined in 1966 and is a career man.
Joe Earl Whitmire, husband of grand-daughter of Nora Loughmiller Perry.
Sgt. U.S. Army Air Force and is a career man.
James Bernard Wind, grandson of Effie Kroth Venneberg. With U.S. Army
November 5. 1970--November 1, 1972. Trained at Ft. Lewis, Washington
and Ft. Sill. Oklahoma Spent 18 months in Bomberg, Germany.
Diebert Kent Yeagley, grandson of George Howard Kroth. Captain in U.S.
Air Force June 9, 1966-August 1971. Took Officers Training at
Lackland Air Force Base, San Antonio, Texas. Stationed at Kessler
Air Force Base, Biloxi, Mississippi. December 1966--October 1967.
At Richard Gibour Air Force Base, Kansas City, Missouri from October
1967--August 1969. Served in 1932rd Communications Squadron at
Goose Bay. Laboradore, August 1969--August 1971.
