Lieutenant Colonel Raul V. Garcia

LtCol. Raul Garcia is the Commander of the Air Force Reserve Officer Training Corps (ROTC) Detachment 510, University of New Mexico (Albuquerque, New Mexico). Detachment 510 is dedicated to the mission of developing quality leaders for the Air Force to “Fly, Fight, and Win.” In January 2009, Lieutenant Colonel Garcia joined Detachment 510 as Commander and Professor of Aerospace Studies. Lieutenant Colonel Garcia's previous duty station was with the 58th Special Operations Wing at Kirtland AFB, New Mexico. Lieutenant Colonel Garcia holds a Bachelors in General Studies and Masters in International Relations. He has managed ongoing training and development for 200 students, strategic planning, directed flight operations, directly supervised large scale operations for manpower, budgets, and training.
