The lecture that each student is responsible for is required to further
develop the presentation skills of all graduate students. Furthermore,
unlike a research-based presentation, this requirement is of academic material
that offers a new dimension to the experiences graduate students obtain for
lecturing.
To facilitate your preparation for the lecture, you should,
 | select a specific topic from those provided by the lecturer, |
| decide on and schedule a date for the lecture, |
| search for and read academic content on this topic |
| scan images pertinent to your content |
| evaluate the list of research references, and add to these from your own
search results |
| scan images of figures and tables from research manuscripts that are
pertinent to your content |
| develop your Powerpoint lecture |
| aim to develop your lecture so that it approximates 50 min in duration |
| get an electronic copy of your lecture to me at least 2 days in
advance so that I can post it to the website. |
