Martin Milner is the narrator of Across the Tracks: A Route 66 Story. A long-time veteran of television and radio, Milner starred in the television series Route 66, as well as Adam 12 and others. He currently hosts a syndicated radio program on bass fishing.

Across the Tracks: A Route 66 Story was written and produced by
David K. Dunaway.

Dunaway is the author and editor of five volumes of history and biography, published by McGraw Hill, Doubleday/Anchor, Harper, and Plume/Penguin. These have appeared in British, Japanese, Chinese, and Spanish editions.

His 1981 biography, How Can I Keep from Singing: Pete Seeger, still in print, won the ASCAP-Deems Taylor Award. His writings appear in periodicals from the New York Times to the San Francisco Chronicle.

He is a professor of English at the University of New Mexico.
