Planning Technician
Salary range:
$22,284 - $33,744
Under direction, plans, organizes, coordinates and manages planning functions for
the City relating to land use and to the maintenance and enhancement of the
physical and social development efforts of the City. May be assigned special
projects/programs such as Community Development Block Grants or the
development of the City's comprehensive plan. Develops, promotes, and manages
development projects; assists private developers in creating new development;
identifies projects for grants and prepares grant application; prepares and revises
zoning ordinances and subdivision regulations. Qualifications required include a
bachelor's degree in urban or regional planning and 2 years of professional planning
experience; or, an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience
which provides the desired, knowledge, skills and abilities of this classification. For
