Planning Intern Salary: $8.25 -$9.00 per hour The City of El Monte is seeking a well-trained person to work part-time and temporarily as a Planning Intern. The position averages 20 hours each week. A Planning Intern performs a variety of paraprofessional work in the City's Community Development Department including answering zoning and planning questions submitted by clients in person or over the phone and preparing staff reports to be submitted to the City's Planning Commission. To be considered for this position a candidate must be enrolled in college level classes in urban planning, geography, political science or a closely related field with a "C" average or better.
