EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR New Mexico Rural Development Response Council. Closing date 1/5/98. Salary range $45,000 to $65,000. Duties include broad responsibility for development of overall approach and process for improving rural development, subject to the approval of the NMRDRC, its officers and executive committees. The Executive Director serves at the will of the NMRDRC Board of Directors. The responsibilities include: working with community leaders and a variety of Federal, State, local, tribal and private sector representatives to resolve or alleviate rural problems. The office location is yet to be decided. Minimum Qualifications: Broad knowledge of Federal and New Mexico rural development programs and activities. Knowledge of community economic development. Knowledge of Federal and New Mexico policies, laws, and regulations affecting rural development. Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing. Ability and willingness to travel frequently. Prior organization management experience.
