THE CITY OF ASPEN AND ROARING FORK TRANSIT AGENCY (RFTA) are recruiting two full-time professional level transportation positions requiring good team players who enjoy working in a dynamic environment on the transportation challenges in the Roaring Fork Valley.
Transportation Coordinator for the City of Aspen. Reporting to the Assistant City Manager, this position is responsible for helping to coordiante City involvement in transportation planning efforts and assisting with transportation policy development. Compiles statistics, prepares technical reports, correspondence, and public information materials. Works closely with citizens, elected officials, citizen task forces, and other agencies on transportation planning projects, including the Entrance to Aspen, the Valley Rail Corridor Investment Study , and in town transit service. Requires a Bachelors degree in a social science, public/business administration, planning or related field and two years related transportation management experience.
