ENVIRONMENTAL SCIENTIST/TECHNOLOGIST Manages
projects and conducts complex technical duties, investigations and
analyses related to the protection of human health and the
environment from the impacts of airborne pollutants, radiation, and
radioactivity. Identifies and evaluates facilities, sites, discharges,
conditions, and resource use practices that may create air quality,
radiation, and other environmental impacts to the Pueblo of Isleta;
prepares analyses and recommendations regarding response,
management and control. Develops and maintains Geographic
Information System (GIS) and other data analysis and management
capabilities for the Environment department. Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university,
including or supplemented by 30 semester hours in natural,
physical, or environmental science, computer science, engineering,
mathematics, statistics, radiological or public health, supplemented
by any combination of at least two years additional education or
experience in one or more of the following areas: air quality
management, environmental monitoring, project management,
radiation protection, nuclear facility operations and safety,
analytical instrumentation and information management systems.
Must have experience in preparing, interpreting and managing
budgets and grants at the project level as a minimum. In-depth
knowledge of principles of statistics, higher mathematics, physics,
chemistry and biology relevant to air resource and radiation
protection; research principles and methods, specialty
instrumentation; the assessment of environmental problems; and
techniques or project planning, evaluation and training. Knowledge
of Federal (EPA, NRC, DOE), Tribal, State and local regulations,
procedures, policies and standards relevant to air quality and
radiation protection. Mail resume, along with names and phone
