SUB Room 1064
The 11th Annual UNM Fight for Fiestas Applications are available in the Additional Information section below. Applications are due January 27th to SUB Room 1064. Each band must be comprised of at least one currently enrolled UNM student, some alumni exceptions. Each band will be allotted a maximum of 15 minutes to play, this does NOT include set-up or sound check time. That will be determined after all applications are turned in. There will be a mandatory meeting for the selected artists on Tuesday, February 7th @ 5PM in the SSE office in Room 1064 in the Student Union Building. At least one band member must attend. Judging will be part audience vote and part staff choice. *The winner* will have a spot at this year’s music and art festival, Fiestas– April 8th 2017.

This award is presented to outstanding seniors who have performed well academically and made significant contributions to the campus community through their outstanding leadership and involvement in student organizations and activities. The application is available on the Student Activities Center website at sac.unm.edu or by CLICKING HERE.
Applications are due Friday, February 17, 2017 to the Student Activities Center.

Spring Welcome Back Day 2 is your opportunity to get involved on campus! Representatives from our over 450 student organizations will be on hand recruiting for new members. This is an easy time to speak and meet with members without having to attend multiple meetings to see if the group is a good fit for you. Stop by the SUB Atrium from 11:30am - 1:30pm to explore our student groups and grab a free Pepsi product while they last.
If your student organization is interested in participating in Welcome Back Days please sign up in the Student Activities Center (SUB 1018) or by calling 277-4706. You may begin setting up your table at 11:00am. Please remember no more than two people may be at your table and no large displays or electronics.

Critically acclaimed Mexican American poet, writer, and activist, Jimmy Santiago Baca will be coming to the University of New Mexico campus on Tuesday, January 31st. Mr. Baca will be hosting a writing workshop at 3:00 p.m. in Room 104 of the Education Building. Later in the evening, at 7:00 p.m. in SUB Ballroom B, Mr. Baca will be speaking and doing a book signing. Don't miss the chance to learn from this inspirational artist. UNM's Greek Week Greek Sing competition takes over Popejoy Hall on Monday, February 20th starting at 6:00 pm. Greek Sing is the annual opportunity for the UNM Fraternity and Sorority community to showcase their skills in open mic, mixed group and step, stroll and salute performances. Tickets will be $10 through the UNM tickets website and box-office starting in late January. Check back for schedules and updated information.
