Charter Workshop Schedule

Rechartering Workshops

Every student organization at UNM is required to recharter each fall regardless of when they chartered the year before.  This year's rechartering process will begin on August 1st and is only for groups who were chartered during the 2012-2013 academic year.  It is mandatory that at least 1 officer (we encourage more) attends a Recharter Workshop before submitting their paperwork.  The workshop will take approximately 45 minutes and you must be there for the entire process.  If you are late you will be asked to attend another workshop in the future.  Below is a schedule of upcoming Rechartering Workshops.

New Charter Workshops

Students interested in chartering a new student organization should attend a New Charter Workshop.  This hour long workshop will help you navigate our chartering system so you may submit your charter application.  Before attending this workshop, we recommend you refer to our Start a Student Organization page or stop by our office to talk to us about the information and items you will need prior to the workshop.  It is mandatory for at least one officer to attend this workshop, but we encourage you to bring more.  Below is the schedule of New Charter Workshops:

SGAO Spending Workshops for 2013-2014 Fiscal Year

The Student Government Accounting Office hosts workshops for chartered student organizations receiving budgets through either the ASUNM or GPSA Spring Budget Process. You will receive a copy of your new budget, helpful handouts, as well as information on how to make the most out of your ASUNM and GPSA funds.

Organizations must have at least two (2) officers attend one of these workshops before you may access your funds that become available July 1st. (This also applies to officers who have already attended workshops during previous years.)

Both officers do not need to attend the same workshop.

Does Your UNDERGRADUATE Chartered Student Organization Need Funding?

If your UNDERGRADUATE chartered student organization would like funding for the 2013-2014 school year, and DID NOT receive funds during the 2013-2014 SPRING BUDGET PROCESS, you will have a chance to apply for funds through the FALL BUDGET PROCESS.  Budget Packets will be distributed at the MANDATORY workshops listed below.  Attendance of at least one of the workshops listed below is MANDATORY in order to receive funding.  If you have any questions concerning the funding of your organization, please contact the ASUNM Finance Committee at 277-5528 or SGAO at 277-7888.
