Every student organization at UNM is required to recharter each fall regardless of when they chartered the year before. This year's rechartering process will begin on August 3rd and is only for groups who were chartered during the 2015-2016 academic year. It is mandatory that at least 1 officer (we encourage more) attends a Recharter Workshop before submitting their paperwork. The workshop will take approximately 45 minutes and you must be there for the entire process. View the Re-Charter Checklist for things to prepare for in the rechartering process. Seats are available on a first come, first served basis. If you are late you will be asked to attend another workshop in the future. Below is a schedule of upcoming Rechartering Workshops.

ASUNM is the undergraduate student government and has several different opportunities for funding your student organization. The most popular option is the Spring Budget process. Chartered student organizations apply for funds during the early part of the spring semester for money that becomes available the next fiscal year starting in July. If you have missed the Spring Budget Process, the Fall Budget Process is an option. Early in the fall semester, chartered student organizations may apply for funds that can be used in the current fiscal year. Both the Fall and Spring Budget Processes have mandatory workshops where instructions and worksheets will be distributed. The Appropriation Process is another option for funding and the primary method for recieving money for travel and equipment. Each chartered student organization is allowed to apply for one appropriation a semester. For schedules and instructions regarding these processes, please go to the ASUNM website (asunm.unm.edu) or contact the ASUNM Finance Committee in SUB Room 1016, at 277-5528 or firstname.lastname@example.org.
GPSA is the Graduate and Professional Student Association and has several different funding opportunities for both graduate students and graduate student organizations. Grants and Scholarships through GPSA provide money for graduate students for different purposes and have different requirments. Graduate student organizations may apply for annual budgets, appropriations and/or PB funds. All funding opportunites have different rules and deadlines. Please consult the GPSA website (gpsa.unm.edu) for more information about funding for graduate students and graduate student organizations.
