  The sponsor provides support for Asian individuals in 
the visual and performing arts seeking grant assistance to 
conduct research, study, receive specialized training, 
undertake observation tours, or
pursue creative activity in the United States are eligible 
to apply for fellowship support from the Council. 
Americans seeking aid to undertake activities in Asia are 
also eligible to apply.

Letters of inquiry must be received by October 15th.  The 
deadline for receipt of completed applications and 
proposals is November 15, 2009 for consideration at the

Crafts; Dance; Design (not commercial); Literature 
(Japan-U.S. Arts Program only); Museology; Music; New 
Media; Painting/Sculpture; Printmaking; and Theater.

FUNDING
  There is no specific amount given for individual 
fellowships or organizational projects. As grants vary in 
length of time (one month to one year), the amounts will 
vary accordingly.
