OBJECTIVES:
  The sponsor has established the Engineering Research 
Fellowships to attract recent PhD graduates with 
outstanding research excellence in areas of identified 
faculty research strengths or emerging research
potential.

ELIGIBILITY
  In order to be eligible to accept the offer of an 
Engineering Research Fellowship, applicants (if not an 
Australian citizen) must obtain the appropriate visa as 
required by the Department of Immigration and Citizenship 
(DIAC). Applicants who have completed their PhD within the 
last five years and preferably with no less than one year 
of postdoctoral experience are eligible. Applicants must 
demonstrate: research excellence in an area consistent 
with Monash Engineering profile; a publication record in 
high ranked journals; potential to be successful when 
applying for competitive grant applications; and a 
commitment to developing a career as an academic staff 
member with an international reputation in their 
engineering field.

FUNDING
  The positions will be offered within the university’s 
Academic level A ($AUD49,874-$AUD67,687) or Academic level 
B ($AUD71,250-$AUD84,610) salary range as appropriate. 
Costs will be shared 50% faculty funds, 50% department 
funds.
