Radiation Safety Division Statement
The Radiation Safety
staff is responsible for ensuring the safety of individuals using ionizing
radiation (radioactive materials and radiation-producing machines) at the
UNM campus and in other locations where these items may be used by University
faculty and staff. Our objective is the protection of people and the environment
from unnecessary exposure to radiation. We accomplish this by providing
a radiation protection program to the University community which is in
compliance with both Federal and State Radiation Protection Regulations.
