A.  Radiation Signs

Radiation Signs shall bear the radiation symbol of authorized color and background, and wording consistent with regulations.  Additional wording to describe the situation or to provide additional information is authorized on the sign but not on the radiation symbol.

“Notice to Employee” forms must be posted in a sufficient number of places in every establishment where licensed activities are conducted, to permit employees working in or frequenting any portion of a restricted area to observe a copy on the way to or from their place of employment.

(“Restricted area” means an area, access to which is limited by the licensee or registrant for purposes of protection of individuals against undue risks from exposure to sources of radiation.   (NMED Subpart 1, Section 106))

Users of radioactive materials or radiation-producing machines shall post such other notices as required by the Radiation Control Committee.
