2008 Sociology Department Convocation Ceremony

 

The 2008 Sociology Department Convocation will be held on Saturday, May 17, 2008.

Sociology & Criminology majors graduating Fall 2007, Spring 2008, or Summer 2008 are encouraged to participate. Students must complete an Application for Degree through the College of Arts & Sciences Advisement Center. (http://www.unm.edu/~artsci/advise/advise.html).

Please stop by the Sociology Main Office in room 1103 of the Social Sciences Building to sign up for the ceremony beginning April 2008. Only those individuals who are signed up by Friday, April 25, 2008 will have their names appear in the program and have assigned seating. Signing up for the Sociology Convocation does NOT also sign you up for the UNM General Commencement held at the UNM Pit. If you have any questions, please call 277-2501.

Make sure that you have completed an "Application for Degree" Sign up for the Sociology Department Commencement ceremony (beginning April 2008) If you plan on attending the University-wide commencement ceremony at the Pit, sign up through the University Secretary homepage If you will be ordering cap, gown, invitations, etc., go to the UNM Bookstore.  The undergraduate degree for both Sociology and Criminology majors is a Bachelor of Arts

Note: The General Commencement ceremony held at the UNM Pit is a university-wide ceremony. Signing up for this ceremony through the University Secretary's page does NOT also sign you up for the Sociology Department Convocation Ceremony.
