The UNM School of Engineering strengthens New Mexico's economy with cutting-edge education and research. The SOE provides highly qualified graduates with nine accredited bachelor degree programs, twelve masters degree programs, and nine doctoral degree programs. SOE research injects millions of dollars into New Mexico's economy. It funds new advancements in technologies that create jobs and help businesses and augments teaching by giving students valuable hands-on training in state-of-the art laboratories.
The university's innovative technology, which is patented and licensed by STC.UNM, includes School of Engineering research in optics, microfluidics, and high performance materials as well as diagnostics, medical devices, and drug discovery tools.
