Financing Your Education

There are many resources to available to undergraduate students seeking help in funding their education: through the School of Engineering (SOE), UNM, and private and other non-UNM sources from local, regional, and national industries.

Engineering Student Services administers most scholarships for undergraduate and graduate students. These SOE scholarships usually supplement any other general scholarship received at the university level (e.g. Lottery, Regents, Presidential, Amigo, etc.) Financial aid and scholarships are offered from a variety of federal, private and corporate funding sources. SOE scholarships are administered by Engineering Student Services; contact Elsa Castillo, elsac@unm.edu, for more information.

Each department in the School of Engineering also has scholarships available for undergraduate students. Students are encouraged to contact the academic departments directly for application and eligibility information.

UNM offers scholarships and financial aid through the Scholarship Office. UNM's Student Financial Aid Office provides information on funding sources in the forms of academic grants and loans.
