| Miguel López Lozano's areas of specialization are Mexican and Chicano literature, 20th century Latin American literature and Cultural Studies, and Border Studies. His articles have appeared on both sides of the U.S. - Mexico Border and Europe. He is the author of Utopian Dreams, Apocalyptic Nightmares: Globalization in Recent Mexican and Chicano Narrative (Forthcoming Purdue University Press, 2007). His current research focuses on women and ethnographic novels and he is currently working on a book on Colonial historiography and the Chicano/a novel. Beyond this, he also is working on the idea of how lettered communities created the notion of the "other" in Mexican literature. |
