Memorial Award

A scholarship of $1,600 will be awarded to a student at the University of New Mexico who is completing a major in Spanish and will be a junior in the fall semester of 2008. The student will be selected by faculty in the Department of Spanish and Portuguese on the basis of academic excellence and financial need.

Eligibility:

• Any student who has declared a first or second major in Spanish,
• and who will be a first- or second-semester junior in fall 2008,
• and who has a minimum GPA of 3.0 in Spanish courses taken in the Department.
