UNM Sport Administration

This has been an eventful year for the Sport Administration Program. Last summer, Dr. Lough decided to move on and accepted a position teaching at UNLV. Her professionalism and expertise have been missed. Dr. John Barnes was hired last fall to come in to replace Dr. Scott, who is in his second year as Department Chair. John brings great industry experience and preparation to the program. We are very happy to have him on the faculty. This year we conducted a search to try to fill the position that Nancy Lough left. The search is ongoing and will probably continue into the fall.

Also, this past fall, we were very fortunate to add Mr. Terry McIntyre to our program as an adjunct faculty member. Terry is the Sports Marketing Director for USAToday and brings a tremendous amount of experience in Sports Business to the program. He is currently teaching two classes, The Business of Professional Sports and Sports Property Development and Sales. For more information on the faculty, click on the Faculty link to the left.
