Committee Charge

Work + Life Initiative Committee of the UNM Staff Council: The committee shall have as it mission or scope of work to promote change in UNM policy and culture to ensure equity for students, faculty and staff seeking a healthy work-life balance and will report on those issues to the Council. Goals include:

  • Identify current policies at UNM supporting work-life balance and family friendliness
  • Develop proposals for new or amended policies based on national research and identified need. An inclusive campus survey will be conducted
  • Explore possibility of forming a Work-Life Office; develop cost estimate.
  • Develop a marketing plan to promote policies and programs

Meeting Information

The Work + Life Initiative Committee meets the first Tuesday of every month from 12 noon - 1 pm at the Staff Council Meeting room 352.
