CURRENT GRADUATE STUDENTS IN THE LAB

Jennifer Bennett, MS:
I am interested in culture fair ways of neuropsychological testing especially among Hispanic bilinguals.
J. Martín Rodriguez, MA:
I am currently working at the New Mexico VAMC and am interested in schizophrenia in Latino cultures.
Lynette M. Silva:
I am interested in the neural pathways involved in PTSD and neuropsychological testing.
Yajaira Peña-Esparza:
I am studying cultural experiences and attentional biases in depression.

 

Prospective Students:
Prosective clincial psychology doctoral students interested in working with Dr. Verney should have an interest in at least one of the following:

  • Neuropsychological functioning in FASD children and adolescents
  • Cultural issues and cognitive assessment
  • Mental health disparities in Hispanic and American Indian populations
  • Information processing and psychophysiological measures of cognition
