Registration

Registration for the 2014 Conference will open December, 2013. Workshops often fill up fast, so early registration is highly recommended, however there is no registration deadline.

Weeklong and Weekend Workshops

Weeklong workshops run three hours daily, either from 9 a.m. - 12 p.m. or 2 - 5 p.m. from Monday through Friday. It is not advisable to take two workshops as there are usually writing assignments for classes and lots of fun things to do in Taos. On the linked instructor page you will see whether an instructor is teaching in the morning or the afternoon. On site registration is open from 3 - 5 p.m. on Sunday. There is a Grand Opening Buffet at 6 p.m. which is included in the registration fee. (Guests may attend by purchasing a ticket from the Sagebrush Inn. Please let us know you are bringing a guest so that we have enough seating.) The Keynote Reading is held at 8 p.m. following the buffet. There are free round tables and faculty readings daily.

Weekend workshops run for four hours daily from 10 a.m. - 12 p.m. and 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. on Saturday and Sunday. On site registration opens at 8 a.m. Saturday. There is an opening event at 9 a.m. at which a light Continental breakfast is served. The Weekend Reception and Faculty Reading is at 6 p.m. on Saturday.

If you prefer to pay by check or money order please mail in your payment with a registration form to Taos Summer Writers' Conference, The University of New Mexico, Department of English Language and Literature, MSC03 2170 - 1 University of New Mexico, Albuquerque, NM 87131-0001. We will process your request but cannot guarantee that the class you requested will still have open spaces as online registration requests are processed immediately. The same applies to tuition remission processing. Please send in your UNM tuition remission form and registration form asap or scan and e-mail us at taosconf@unm.edu.

Master Classes

Master Classes run three hours daily, either from 9 a.m. - 12 p.m. or 2 - 5 p.m. from Monday through Friday.

If you are submitting a ms sample (15 - 20 pages) and introductory letter to your master class instructor of choice, please register using the evaluation fee option and send your materials to taosconf@unm.edu. We will forward your materials to the instructor you requested and contact you regarding your class placement.
